Hard top incorporates a toughened safety glass backlight and forward hinged anti-draught quarter lights. Folding soft top incorporates fixed quarter lights, and a zipper-controlled partially removable back light. Situated in the facia panel is a combined control knob for windscreen wipers and washers, and a separate knob for choke control. A rocker switch controls side and head lamps, registration plate and instrument illumination. The horn push button is in the steering wheel centre boss. Two finger-tip levers are. situated on the steering column nacelle, the L.H. lever controls head lamp flasher and dip, and the R.H. lever controls the self-cancelling direction indicator lamps. A push/pull switch incorporating a warning lamp brings all direction indicators into use as hazard warning lamps. A combined switch for accessories, ignition, starter motor control and steering column locking device is located on the steering column beneath the parcel shelf and is operated by the ignition key. The key can only be removed from the combined switch with the steering column locking device in the locked condition. Heating and Ventilation. A powerful heater/demister unit provides fresh air at the selected temperature to the interior of the car and to the windscreen for demisting/ defrosting. The controls permit independent selection of air temperatures and distribution, and a two-speed booster fan can be used to increase air flow. Instruments are set in a non-glare facia panel in a compact area in front of the driver's position and comprise: a speedometer graduated in m.p.h. and km.p.h. which contains total and trip odometers and warning lamps for main beam, ignition and low oil pressure; a tachometer; a water temperature gauge; a fuel level gauge; a direction indicator repeater lamp; a hazard warning repeater lamp; a `fasten seat belts' warning lamp. Upholstery. Flame retardant upholstery throughout. Expanded PVC leathercloth trim. Moulded pile carpet throughout with rubber heel mat for driver. Washable PVC headlining on hard top. Two separate reclining front seats adjustable fore and aft with occupants seated by readily accessible control levers.
